Rolling Back the CM01/02 Years

This particular version of Championship Manager, well I didn’t quite play as much previously. I had other things on my mind back then, school and such.
But I’m making up for it now eh.
Well hardware wise, the installation was no issue, but surprisingly at times the loading of the game took some time though.
For CM01/02, I chose WBA as my team of choice.
I never managed WBA before, so why not. It had Koumas, Russell Hoult, Chambers to name a few players.
The board pathetically gave me £1.6 million for my transfer budget. Well what to do eh, I’ve to make the best of it.
I signed on three cheap players, one youth defender from Swedish team Djurgarden, and the two other are foreign players.
I have to make do and hope this season that I won’t be relegated.
I’ll be lucky if I get to middle spot of the table. Well I’m aiming for that of course, but I won’t be expecting much with the quality of players I have.
The keyword for me is ‘build’ … yes build from scratch a great team for the coming years. So I have to focus on my youth development and purchases.
Second match was better, I changed the players, gambling on more youth involvement. Click thumbnail to enlarge picture.
My first game was a friendly and I didn’t quite do so well. It was against a non-league team and the result was poor.
The second and third game, I got the hang of it. Changing of my first eleven, tweaking the settings and putting up the right tactics.
Somehow I still am not happy with my team. I’ll try and scout more cheap and bargain basin players out there in the market.
My first Premiership game is against Aston Villa. Well it’s going to be a tough, an away game.
I’ll blog about it soon enough.
