CM2008 is a marked improvement

I’m guilty of not playing CM2008 all this while even after receiving the CD.
Today I finally got off my ass and installed it on my desktop.
The initial install time was average for any game installation, but what impressed me were the aesthetics, game infrastructure and speed aspects it has improved over its previous CM2007 predecessor.
CM2008 clearly has listened to all the user feedback and implemented the changes.
I love the new skin, the creating and especially saving my game was rather fast.
I’m glad the waiting time for the game has been drastically reduced, even on my old computer, my game was responsive.
There’s no frustration waiting for the next match or idling tapping your keyboard as you wait for the game processing to complete.
I’m not saying it’s not without any issues, but CM2008 has really changed my opinion of it and I’ll bet CM2009 will be even much better.
As for my CM2008 game, I chose Tottenham Hotspurs. Yes the always under-achiever of English club.
The last time it won the league was back in 1960, but with me at the helm it will be sooner than you think
** ehem – check ego out the door please ** … haha.
As usual I did a major team shakeup. No ‘star player’ was spared. Whom I deemed a surplus is given the boot.
With a £49 million transfer kitty, I was excited to start my player scouting and purchase.
After off-loading players not in my plans, I had another £20 million to spend. So I bought David Trezeguet, Phillipe Mexes, Robinho and David James.
I think that was money well spent and the bookmakers put my team at high odds to win the Premiership this season.
Well my season has started out well too. Deploying an old-school 4-4-2 formation, I had an impressive first few matches so far.
Topping the table and no losses at the moment. Hey this is too easy don’t you think. Well we shall see if it is as the season is still long.
That will be my another entry.
