Man Utd hammers Chelsea

Jozy Altidore, a youth player I just bought
It’s a continuation of my FM2008 game. I was still with my friendly games when I last left it and I finished off the last two remaining friendly games.
One was against Spanish side Ferrol. That game didn’t turn out what I expected.
Despite majority of possession and wave of waves of attack, I could only muster a 1-1 draw. Bummer man!
The next game was against local English club Bury. As for this match I truly ‘buried’ them so to say. I won 2-0 with my new defender Russian signing Sergey Ignashevich scoring a goal. I was happy of the outcome.
Moving on to the next game, it was the opener match for the Premiership season with the traditional Community Shield match.
My opponent was the tough-nut to beat Chelsea.
I played mind-games with Avant Grant by talking trash that I would have no problems beating his beat and I truly believe that.
My team has quality but unfortunately no depth in quality. That I would have to rectify in the coming years as I get more money to purchase or develop new players.

Another potential youth player, Mamadou Sakho
Going back to the match, as predicted I trashed Chelshit 4-1. My tactic was to mess-up their midfield. I knew they had world class midfielders and I’ve to admit my team is not on par with that. So I assigned my players to congest the middle of the field.
And you know what, it worked, the result went my way and I followed the previous year tradition by being crowned the Shield champion.
One win down, hopefully four more to go, the League, Champion’s League, Cup and FA Trophy.
Currently I’m busy nurturing new young talent in my team, future-wise. I’m scouting and snapping potential youth players all over the globe. Well the investment and planning for me starts now.
