Talk about a blast from the past.

Do you guys recalling playing the very first version of Championship Manager.

To think back then DOS games was da bomb yeah! The large 5.25 inch floppy disk and don’t even mention the small drive capacity.

This is cute. You can choose your manager personality. Click thumbnail to enlarge picture.

Compared to current times, it’s a joke of course, but still I’m feeling nostalgia, so I decided to install CM93/94.

I played the English league and unlike my CM2 game which has problem installing on my XP desktop; I had none for CM93/94.

Although I was buggered by the usage of full-screen every time the game loads. I did chose and set it in Windows as an option, but it just won’t load in Windows form.

So I used DOSBox. It’s a free DOS emulator for playing old DOS games on current OS such as Vista, XP, etc.

The DOSBox allowed me to play the game in widows mode, much ‘easier’ for me to flip through my other programs that I’m using.

Blackburn Rovers for CM2007

I’ve never really explored Championship Manager 2007 that much when I received the game CD.

Previously I installed it, played it awhile before forgetting about it.

It is indeed a ‘forgettable’ game, being that nothing striking attracts me at first glance after installing.

I chose the English league. Click thumbnail to enlarge picture.

The graphics isn’t that much pretty to look at. The skin could be better and the icons used are rather bland. Aesthetically there’s room for improvement.

Well I decided to give it another go. The installation was really fast, under 3 minutes or less. I did choose one league, the English league.

After that, the creation of my game was even faster. I reckon it’s because the game database for CM2007 is much smaller than Football Manager.

Well for 07 edition of CM, I chose Blackburn Rovers for team management.

I just felt like bringing back the glory days to Ewood Park. I do hope I’m up to the challenge.
